OUR SERVICES
MAGNETOS; SERVICING, REPAIRS AND REBUILDS
We provide high quality, expert workmanship in all our magneto repairs, services and rebuilds. Every magneto that we rebuild is completely stripped down, cleaned, inspected, and overhauled (as required). This service includes:Testing new coils and condensers under load
Checking all components for serviceability and wear and replacing when required (including but not limited to: insulators, bearings, carbon brushes, slip rings, screws and washers, gaskets, high tension pick ups, high tension leads and plugs).
Cleaning and regreasing bearings
Wash and bead blast the body and end frame
Dress and set the correct points gap
Check polarity and re magnetise
Run up test of completely assembled magnetoAll high tension coils we re wind and condensers we supply come with a 10 year warranty.

A Lucas SR1 magneto that was brought back to life. After a full service, including rewinding the coil, fitting a new condenser, correctly the polarity and re-magnetising it, it was as good as new.
This Lucas M01L came to us very rusty and in need of a lot of work. The customer told us it had been through a flood. After a lot of cleaning and replacing the required parts, we were able to give it a new life.

THE TEAM AT PMR
Precision Magnetos & Restorations, or PMR, is an Australian family owned business that was established in 2023. Gus has been watching his Father, Tim, working on all things magnetos for many years. Tim, who owns TT Enterprises, has over 45 years of industry experience and a reputation for extremely high quality work. Located on the NSW Far North Coast, PMR, together with TT Enterprises, has helped customers not only in Australia, but also in New Zealand, America, Japan and Hong Kong.PMR and TT Enterprises work closely together, although Gus is starting to take a lead role to give Tim more time to ride and travel after so many years in the industry. Gus and Tim are both committed to providing the highest quality of work as they slowly make this transition from TT Enterprises to PMR, ensuring PMR will be around for many years to come and to help you with all your magneto requirements.
